come one come all to newts chop shop

Who: Newt Geiszler, Kit Peddler and YOU
Where: Newt's clinic in the shady part of China town that Newt sort of lives in.
When: Pretty much whenever. The clinic is open five days a week, and this is a catchall.
What: Newt's clinic is still open for all wayward aliens, robots and cyborgs to be seen to without questions for free. Kit is his rude secretary hacker who is also pretty good (better) at fixing up the cyborgs.
Warnings: Bullshit science and Newt is a warning on his own, but will update if medical stuff happens.

[there's a few thread-starters within, but please feel free to hit this up!! The clinic's location is easy to get a hold of for anyone who needs it and a google search of Newt will reveal that he's actually really great at what he does and has lots of credibility as well as 6 pHDs. Back and Post dating is fine, just let me know!]
hugling: (um actually it's two different aliens)

[It's after seven by the time Teddy gets off work and makes it halfway across town to the clinic, clutching a small styrofoam cooler under one arm. He's more than a little anxious, and after dodging Kit's "receptionist services" he finally makes it back to the patient area to see Newt, nervously bouncing the cooler up and down on one knee. The ice inside rattles, and patient attempting to sleep on another cot in the corner turns and glares. Teddy hastily apologizes and stops bouncing, clutching the cooler closer to him. Other than nerves, he really looks fine. No blood, not even a hair out of place.]

[Myaxx isn't completely sure something's wrong - actually, she hasn't noticed any signs that anything is. But, on the other hand, she's spent the past couple months on an alien planet after crash-landing in an escape pod, and if something is wrong, maybe caused by the stasis systems on the pod, or the crash, or something about the planet itself, she'd really rather know.

So, having arranged with Vanessa for her to get to this clinic, she hurries from car to door as quickly as she can, nervously adjusting the goggles covering her eyes (she really hopes that this disguise is actually effective enough to keep attention off her until she gets inside - she's not really sure, but covering every inch of her skin better have been worth it). She ducks inside, probably not looking nearly as inconspicuous as she would like to.]

[Not that Raiden is a creep or anything, but he might've been casing the joint a little. Watching the comings and goings until he'd guess there's not really anyone else around before he decides to make the trek across the street and duck into the clinic. Again, not a creep, he's just aware that the topic he wants to broach is astoundingly awkward (even for him) and the less people who are around to potentially overhear the better.]

[The step between getting inside and actually talking to anyone is a bit of a big one though, and he kind of opts for hovering awkwardly because apparently TRIDENT also took his social skills away from him.]

[lyra is neither an extraterrestrial, a cyborg, or particularly in need of a doctor, but she has been downtown bothering herbalists and acupuncturists(' receptionists) all day, and this clinic looks pretty interesting. she wanders in, pantalaimon at her heels.]
thanksoptimus: (holomatter troll)

[At some point that same jadeblooded troll shows up - that's right. The holo avatar of Orion Pax.

Except his demeanour is vastly different, now. All of that shy nervousness that came along with him the first few times he interacted with Newt are gone and replaced with a grim sort of formality. He arrives in the doorway, nods in acknowledgement upon seeing that Newt is there, and announces himself.]

Dr. Geiszler.

IN BAELHEIT'S OFFICE

Newt's been working for Mintaka Industries for long enough now that Baelheit thinks he can trust him -- as much as anyone like Newt can be trusted. But Baelheit hired him for a reason, he's working in the research division with the most sensitive information -- the fact that he might find a way upon it on way or another aside, it's hardly productive to keep him out of the loop on their most lucrative of research. There's no point in hiring an asset if you aren't going to use it to your full potential, after all -- and with Newt's most recent extracurricular endeavors, Baelheit is well aware that he may come into contact with further yet more sources of data.

He's arranged a meeting with Newt in his office at Mintaka, and when Newt finally enters he rises from his desk, not quite smiling but welcoming him in with a gesture of his hand. "Dr. Geiszler, please -- have a seat."
liberaition: (perhaps you are less human)

rude receptionist

[The lady behind the desk looks bored. She's got a few tools spread out in front of her, and she's working on some kind of gadget. It's too early to tell what it is yet, but by the parts laid out on the table maybe some sort of robotic... bug? There are about fifteen creepy looking legs all in a line. She doesn't even look up from soldering when she hears someone approach, just holds out a clipboard with the liability waiver on it and waves at the handful of chairs set up as a waiting area.]

The doctor is with a patient right now. Have a seat.
