come one come all to newts chop shop
Who: Newt Geiszler, Kit Peddler and YOU
Where: Newt's clinic in the shady part of China town that Newt sort of lives in.
When: Pretty much whenever. The clinic is open five days a week, and this is a catchall.
What: Newt's clinic is still open for all wayward aliens, robots and cyborgs to be seen to without questions for free. Kit is his rude secretary hacker who is also pretty good (better) at fixing up the cyborgs.
Warnings: Bullshit science and Newt is a warning on his own, but will update if medical stuff happens.
[there's a few thread-starters within, but please feel free to hit this up!! The clinic's location is easy to get a hold of for anyone who needs it and a google search of Newt will reveal that he's actually really great at what he does and has lots of credibility as well as 6 pHDs. Back and Post dating is fine, just let me know!]

"She" will work, assuming that translates right. [Okay, it seems to have worked, no error messages or anything at least.] What about you? I'm... not sure about human genders yet, either.
no subject
[he gives her a small grin before shrugging.] I'm a "he" but there's pretty much a whole bunch of genders here. Mostly people go with just "She" or "He" pronouns, but there can be more than that.

Well, what d'you think is actually wrong? That'll be a good start.
no subject
I'm not actually sure. Recently, I went through a... potentially hazardous situation to get here; there's a chance I may have been injured somehow and not noticed it.
My primary concern is that something could have happened when... well, when I crashed here. [Might as well be honest about that.] And the last thing I need is for injuries I didn't know I had to start flaring up unexpectedly.
no subject
Well, uh. That's not a whole lot for me to go on. 'Specially since I don't know your anatomy. But I guess we could do a full check up and go from there?
no subject
no subject
But he could at least get some generic measurements and examine her, right? Easy.]
So, tell me about your planet.
no subject
no subject
[he pauses.] Warring world, huh?
no subject
[She makes a noise that sort of resembles some kind of angry laugh.] You could certainly say that. 'Course, lately most of the fighting is against other species - never really meant to go anywhere, just kept up kind of a reputation for ourselves. Until Vilgax showed up. [The name is practically spat out, like she's trying to get it out of her mouth before his Vilgax-ness infects her or something.]
no subject
[he nods, tapping away.] Can you breathe normally? Or do we need to get you something to help the levels of gases?
[He then pauses to lean back in his chair, watching her as she continues to talk. Learning about alien history is just as important as their biology. It helps you know how to interact and what to expect from them.]
Vilgax?
no subject
Vilgax. [Is she even capable of saying this guy's name without sneering? Probably not.] He first came into power... some time ago, maybe twenty cycles? Kept going on about "putting Murray on the galactic map", pretty typical stuff. But then that started moving toward "crushing all who opposed us", and I guessed that "us" would become "him" before too much longer, so I got off-planet while I could.
[She waves a hand dismissively.] Turned out I was right, surprising no-one. People call him Vilgax the Conqueror these days; he's made our species more enemies than we ever had before he showed up. Oh, and I don't think I mentioned - the planet's called Vilgaxia now. [Her voice has taken on that particular tone of someone who's past the point of being ticked off about something and is pretty much perpetually shaking her head in irritated disbelief.]
no subject
What is it with these guys and their egos? Naming an entire planet after yourself? What's he compensating for? [he offers her a short smile, but knows it probably won't be appreciated.]
What kind of potential does he have to like, invade earth? Is that something I need to make a report about or are we good?
no subject
I wouldn't bother. [Said just a little too quickly - the idea of reporting to CONDOR is still kind of outside what she'd be comfortable with. She really does doubt Vilgax will show up, though.] Too out of the way, and last I heard he was kind of busy to be worrying about far-off little planets like this.
no subject
Okay, so no imminent invasion. Cool. Good to know.
[he gets back to the matter at hand, finishes adding notes and pulls on a pair of black, latex gloves that he'd stolen from Fang's tattoo shop last time he was there, and starts prepping a needle and some vials.]
You okay for me to take blood?
no subject
no subject
no subject
...How necessary is it to find somewhere with thin skin for this? I mean, you probably could reach the blood from anywhere, wouldn't going through thicker skin work? [She knows perfectly well that that would hurt like hell, and she also knows that it's probably painfully obvious that she's stalling. But most Chimera Sui Generis aren't in the habit of giving other species access to the thinner skin under their armor to begin with, and Myaxx is especially paranoid.]
no subject
Well, uh. [he looks at the needle he's holing onto.] I mean it's pretty sharp. But if I can't see the blood vessels through your skin there's no guarantee I'll get it first time. It might get painful.
no subject
Okay, just hold on. [She replicates the precise placement of her hand on the seam of the bracer, and this time, opens it up, the seam emitting a series of vaguely-mechanical clicks.
She sets the armor piece aside on the nearest convenient surface, flexing her wrist experimentally and a little uncomfortably before holding up her arm, displaying the clearly-visible veins under the surface of the thin skin.] There.
no subject
He takes her arm carefully and swabs the area clean--not that he knows what is safe to use on her, so for now it's just water--and carefully starts to draw blood.]
You totally covered in armour under there, or is it part of your cunning disguise?
wow sorry for some reason it posted this wrong at first
And we don't usually allow other species to access them, so count yourself lucky. [Or count her desperate. Same difference.]
[She Does Not Say Anything about the "cunning disguise" comment.]
no subject
Oh man, I'm so lucky. You don't even know.
[He looks up at her with a cheeky smile, before switching vials, popping the cap on the one he'd just taken.]
no subject
[Of course, there are pros and cons to that. One of the major "pros" being that this may bring the chance of her being re-arrested here close to zero.]
