Who: Newt Geiszler, Kit Peddler and YOU
Where: Newt's clinic in the shady part of China town that Newt sort of lives in.
When: Pretty much whenever. The clinic is open five days a week, and this is a catchall.
What: Newt's clinic is still open for all wayward aliens, robots and cyborgs to be seen to without questions for free. Kit is his rude secretary hacker who is also pretty good (better) at fixing up the cyborgs.
Warnings: Bullshit science and Newt is a warning on his own, but will update if medical stuff happens.

[there's a few thread-starters within, but please feel free to hit this up!! The clinic's location is easy to get a hold of for anyone who needs it and a google search of Newt will reveal that he's actually really great at what he does and has lots of credibility as well as 6 pHDs. Back and Post dating is fine, just let me know!]

[Newt is surprisingly used to people keeping an eye on the clinic before coming in, thanks to that cyborg assassin that was basically shadowing him for a month to make sure he didn't hurt anyone. He also figures CONDOR has someone set up, just keeping an eye on his operations, mostly because some of his work records are a little shadier than he'd like to admit, but hey. He's on the straight an narrow. Mostly.

So when Raiden comes in, Newt doesn't look up straight away from the robotic arm he's inlaying with circuitry, the fingers flexing a each little screw tighten. He gives him a quick glance, before looking back to his work, recognising him as the guy he and Kit had helped de-virus back when they'd first opened. ]

Hey man, you looking for something?

[cyborged]

[Oh no, he's been noticed. Now he has to say something or it'll be weird. Okay look, he's a highly trained special agent he can handle awkward conversation.]

[ What. ]

--I mean. I wanted to talk to you about something.

[Newt looks up at him properly now, putting the intricate robotic hand to one side. He can't help but smile just a bit.]

Yeah? Any more virus trouble?

No, it's uh. [hhhhhhhhhhh] This is-- I. [GOD.] We used to know eachother, back when you worked for CONDOR.

[and that gets his full attention. He blinks at Raiden, trying to recognise him.]

Dude, seriously? Uh, sorry I never recognised you... Uh, there's not exactly a lot to uh. [way to be a dick Newt.]

[WOW.] It's fine, I look pretty different.

[Oh yeah, he should possibly mention who he is right. God he hates using his name these days.]

It's-- I'm Jack.

Sorry man. I didn't mean--Jack?

[He pauses. CONDOR was ages ago. And then he recognises.] Oh man, 'Monday Monster Movie' Jack?

[He catches himself for a second. Saying 'How have you been' would be super awkward, man.]

Yeah. [EVERYTHING IS SO AWKWARD.] I just thought maybe I should... let you know.

Dude, what's it been like five years or some shit? You still work for CONFOR?

Yeah, I um. Left for a little while, but. [Gesture] It's what I'm good at.

How was... Japan, right?

Japan was... [he pauses, frowning.] It was good. The sushi there is amazing. [No need to let people he's reuniting with know that he doesn't actually remember much of Japan thanks to his mental health. Nope.]

Man, I wish I could say the same. I suck at all that paperwork. This is totally my jam. I have a secretary. It's great.

[It's cool, they can start a "large chunks of my memory are a haze because my brain is hecked up" club.]

A secretary? [RAISED EYEBROW] You're moving up in the world.

He grins, glancing behind him to make sure Kit hadn't heard him.]

She's more like an assistant that's kinda rude to everyone, but she's like my kid-sister, so I put up with it.

[Kit hates paperwork too, which is why she wrote a program to fill it in for her, which is why she's eavesdropping instead of sitting at her desk.]

[she clears her throat loudly, arms crossed.]

Were you ever going to introduce me to your friend, Professor?

[Raiden raises an eyebrow, looking from Newt to Kit with what may be an amused look on his face. (Honestly it's hard to tell with him; he only has three expressions.) He glances over Kit's arm, but doesn't comment on it, extending a hand in greeting instead.]

Raiden.

[how does she always do that? Newt needs to get her a bell.

He jumps a little, giving her a sheepish grin before opening his mouth to introduce, but is interrupted.]

Yeah, Raiden. We ran diagnostics on him about a month ago to make sure he wasn't running any weird stuff in the background.

[Kit shakes his hand, her small organic right hand comically small in his large metal one.] Kit. [she jerks her chin at his... entire body? wow, he's way ahead of her. Maybe she should speed up the timetable on her next set of upgrades.]

Nice work. [It's not quite the style of any of the major cybernetics players, and it's not the blocky ugliness of US Military projects. That leaves foreign governments, underground labs, and the standard evil scientist crew. And maybe aliens. Never rule out aliens.]

It all looks okay from here, if you were worried. Not that I'd go for more than a surface scan without your permission, of course. [She's not lying: fellow cyborgs are a line Kit doesn't like to cross.]

[He looks decidedly uncomfortable with the compliment, but elects not to reject it or even really acknowledge it at all. Instead he just glosses over it entirely because that's how being polite works. Probably.]

I'm not here about this. [Kinda... gestures at Newt.] I used to know Newt, before he left for Japan.

[He rubs at one of his eyes under his glasses and shoots Kit an exasperated look.] Kit not everyone gets these by choice like you. C'mon, don't be so rude.

[he frowns a little at Raiden to apologise before looking back to Kit with an arched eyebrow.] Yeah, see. I'm not totally useless at code.
