[SO HEY GUYS, WE SURVIVED ANOTHER DISASTER.]

[Chris and Maxxie are using the end of the robot fight as an excuse to throw another party. If you've ever attended one of their parties before, you know the drill. The two bedroom house is filled with people, some of them friends, some of them friends of friends, and some of them just attracted by the lights and the sounds. There's music (Chris probably picked it so it's an interesting collection of songs) there's a lot of alcohol and - if you're into something a little less legal than that - there are dealers floating around. There is also food if you're into that kind of thing, but it's pretty limited to "pringles and M&M's," since that's all that was on the grocery list that morning.]

When: backdated to just after the tower rescues
What: nessa has been rescued and seriously needs a shower and maybe a cuddle.

Who: Downtown LA Rescuers/Captives
Where: That tower that just hatched from that office building.
When: Saturday March 15th, around 6PM for when they appear.
What: A creepy looking tower hatches out of a downtown office building and superheroes come to fight it and save its captives.
Warnings: Violence, body horror, mind control, fucking creepy bullshit.

A spiral tower looms ahead, the rubble of its shattered camouflage still littering the ground. Civilians panic, the streets crowding with an unexpected traffic jam. Cyborgs flood the streets, and defensive fire opens from above.

Eventually, you break into the inside of a vast tower, like a tall layered cylinder of steel and black metal. You can see a seemingly endless height above you, and an endless depth below. Each layer is lit by a ring of multi-hued light that seems to bleed into the black material below it, like veins into flesh. A circle is cut through each layer from the tower's top to bottom, and occasionally a vast black form will rise and fall between layers - a mass of black metal with lights like eyes and grasping mechanical hands. Sometimes it takes captives with it.

Cages line the exterior walls like an arena, with other restraints set up on the layered floors outside. There is a tone of clinical order and structure without, though the black metal leaks a substance almost like the sweat of an animal. Cages open and close themselves, and smaller machines and familiar looking cyborgs wander the floors. Entire cage sections can be removed mechanically and taken to lower levels. Muffled voices and the animal cries of captured strays can be heard around the shaft, as well as the rhythmic hum of vast machinery down below.

There is no natural light here, and the tower's shaft travels far beneath the earth.

[OOC: There will be specific mod NPC posts made within each rescue log for dealing with the central hub of the AI. Remember, if you want to fight one of the Nightforce, ask a mod.]

Who: Cynthia and Nessa
Where: Downtown Los Angeles
When: March 11, nighttime
What: Cynthia and Nessa go on patrol, only to be attacked and captured by evil cyborg monsters.
Warnings: Violence, the aforementioned evil cyborg monsters

[Going on patrol during a Level 4 Outbreak has not been exactly what Cynthia thought it would be. She expected CRIMINAL ACTS and HEROIC BATTLES happening at least once every couple hours. At least. ...Which, alright, wasn't really a reasonable set of assumptions to be carrying into this. But she and Nessa will find something soon, right? There has to be nefarious activity happening somewhere.

She slides off Nessa's back after they round a street corner. As cool as it is to be riding a tiger, Cynthia wants to stretch her legs a little.]

Ughh, are we ever gonna find villains to take down? [Punches to the air accentuate the last two words.]

When: A few days after they make plans in this thread, but before the Dr. Dynamo business
What: Cynthia and Milly have a sleepover!
Warnings: Be prepared for some serious gay shoujos

Cynthia's been looking forward to this for weeks, and the time has finally come. Her bag is packed with all sorts of important sleepover items – pajamas, extra clothes, her sticker-decorated laptop, a notebook and pen, and more – and she's just arrived at Milly's apartment building. Cynthia is not always the most punctual, but you can bet your buttons that she is here exactly on time today. Barely able to contain her elation, she makes her way through the building toward Milly's apartment. She gets a little lost a few times, but she eventually makes it to the right place.

Without wasting any time, Cynthia knocks loudly on the door. She waits for the door to open with an enthusiastic grin on her face. This sleepover is going to be so cool. She knows this to be an irrefutable fact of the universe, and gosh is she excited.
