What: A catch-all for Newton as he realises he's been working too hard and then goes out to work hard on catching up on all the social stuff he's been missing because he's been working too hard. He then goes to check up on his robot babies and then back to the clinic to watch Godzilla to soothe his soul. Please, someone get him an intern. Or twelve.
Warnings: Newton should probably be his own warning.

[He'd really needed to get out of the office. His concentration had been dipping all morning and he's pretty sure he's drunk every last drop of caffeine CONDOR has and he's not sure he wants to be around for the fallout when they notice.

And hey, when was the last time he even took a walk around the city? Or visited Fang's tattoo place? Or even took an afternoon off? The more he thinks about it, the more he realises just how much of a rut he's been working himself into. Oh man, he's not even up to date on all the manga he'd been following in Japan. Goddamn.

He decides then and there that he deserves the afternoon to himself because he's been working way too hard and if he's not careful this'll be last time all over again. But he still grabs his tablet to read over his notes. Just in case he missed something. And his doodle-covered notebook. Just in case. He then pulls on his scraggy MIT hoodie and takes to the streets.

After making sure to stop at Fang's to say hi and ask about a bare patch of skin he'd been saving on the back of his knee for something big, picking up three very thick, very brightly coloured back copies of his manga magazines and poking his head around the door of a few shops downtown, Newt takes up residence in a coffee shop. He buys the biggest cup of coffee with the most amount of shots they can legally give him and a cinnamon bun and settles in a corner, constructing a makeshift workspace out of two tables--actual work on one side and fun work on the other.

Yeah. This is way better than that stuff old office.]

The Autobot Base

[After being forwarded another email complaint that Ultra Magnus sent to CONDOR, Newt decides that his afternoon off ended, and he should go visit the cool alien robots. Since it's pretty much the only reason he let CONDOR coax him back in and is actually the part of the job he enjoys.

He sends Ratchet a message to say he's on his way--for some reason the guy doesn't like it when you just drop in, but that seems to be a thing with all the Autobots--and heads over.

It doesn't take him long to reach the base, and he repeats the setting up of his work station at the table he had brought in in the main area of the base (since everything here is a little too tall for his 5ft5 height) but doesn't sit at it straight away, instead picking up the tablet to send out a group email to say he's here. Y'know. If anyone wanted to talk to him about CONDOR stuff. Or robot stuff. At least before he went to bother Ratchet.]

The Free Clinic

[He doesn't get back to the clinic until it's gone 10pm, but that's really not unusual. He still sometimes gets clients this late, so the doors stay open until he goes to bed. He's dragging his feet to the door and practically sinks into the desk chair, dumping all his stuff rather unceremoniously.

He rubs at his face and pulls his tie off, yawning as he boots up his desktop to check emails and pulls up his copy of the original 1954 movie. He can't even remember the last time he saw the classic, but it's definitely not less than at least a month. Yeah. Gotta be.

He scoots over on his wheelie chair and turns on his kettle, grabbing a box of ramen before shifting some of the spare parts Kit was working on to give himself more space as he settles in for probably another late night.]
