open to all!
Who: Newton Geiszler and Yooooou
Where: Around LA, The Autobot base, and Newt's clinic
When: NOW
What: A catch-all for Newton as he realises he's been working too hard and then goes out to work hard on catching up on all the social stuff he's been missing because he's been working too hard. He then goes to check up on his robot babies and then back to the clinic to watch Godzilla to soothe his soul. Please, someone get him an intern. Or twelve.
Warnings: Newton should probably be his own warning.
[Thread-starters below! But I can roll with anything. CONDOR agents can also catch Newt in his office in the CONDOR building.]

It was a good thing he wasn't sipping his coffee, or else it would've gone everywhere.
He blinks for a moment before pulling headphones off that are blaring some sort of heavy rock music and frowns. He must've really hit a nerve if the guy came to find him.
"Yeah? You changed your mind and agree it's stupid?"
no subject
"No I have not, and frankly I do not understand why you are so averse to completing such a simple request. It's not as if it is a difficult assignment."
no subject
"Because I'm already doing my job there. It's like you guys suddenly don't trust me, and let's be real, I'm like the most qualified expert you're gonna find. It's kinda a kick to the stomach, man."
no subject
"Have you considered at all that this would be to your benefit as well. As Chief Medical Officer, Ratchet has the authority to deny access to any unqualified individual, as stated in the Autobot Code and supported by Article 4 Sub-section 7 of the Tyrest Accord.
I have no doubt Ratchet will enact this rule when I inform him of your refusal to comply. As the Tyrest Accord applies to all cybertronians regardless of alignment and outlines the standard for cybertronian interaction with intergalactic species, it takes precedence over any CONDOR ordinance or your own desire to learn more about our species."
no subject
"You just said it applies to cybertronians. I don't know if you missed the memo, but I'm not one of you guys, and your rules can't really apply to me. Unless there's some subsection or something that states the rule covers all intergalactic species--which I'm pretty sure you'd have to get us to sign up to--I'm pretty sure that's a loop hole," he says flatly, before leaning back in his chair, groaning.
"Look, I'm really not here for bureaucracy or paperwork. I'm here to make sure CONDOR doesn't decide that you guys are bad news and go nuclear on your metal asses and making sure you're safe. I'm not about to take some medical school exam--which probably takes you guys millennia to complete--when I'm already doing my job and following any protocols Ratchet's been giving me. You realise my life span is like, a blink in comparison to yours right? I don't really have time for this." He pauses, ego flaring a little.
"Not that I couldn't do it in record time or anything."
no subject
"Very well, I'll see if there is a way to work out an exception for you, but Ratchet will still have to sign off on it as Chief Medical Officer."
He crossed his arms, not aggressively but more as a default action, looking back over the crowd.
"I must ask, why are you choosing to work here rather than your office at CONDOR? Surely that would be a more optimum environment for completing whatever tasks you have at hand."
no subject
"Good, good, man. Send me a memo when that's all done and buried, yeah?" he starts, tapping away on the screen, before blinking up at the holoform as Magnus continues.
"Not really? I mean, there's only so much of that office I can take before I--" he makes a exploding gestures with his hands followed by a garbled noise. "It's not good for the brain juices! Gotta move around to keep me sane. Also, this place does baller coffee, and I'm all about that."
