What: The Mysticalman comes across an annoyingly slippery bad guy. Miko comes across the Mysticalman. It all goes downhill from here.

It's not a good day for Eusine. Catching that petty robber should have been a piece of cake, really. Some D-lister with a guitar? Frankly, it's almost insulting that you would even suggest he's incapable of handling this.

And yet... cornering him took a ludicrous amount of time. A combination of bad luck and unaligned astral bodies, clearly, and nothing to do with the fact the guy can break glass with his voice. Not a problem for the Mysticalman, master of gadgets! ... is what Eusine would have said, if only one of his rockets hadn't jammed at the exact worst moment, leaving him to continue his pursuit on foot. If not for his amazing tracking skills, the villain might very well have escaped! Oh, the tragedy.

But no matter. No one can escape JUSTICE for very long, especially when JUSTICE is ridiculously tenacious, prone to dramatic speeches and loud enough to drown-out their voice-related powers. Most people would have the good sense to look a tiny bit ashamed for taking so long to catch a mere robber, probably; Eusine, however, is leaning more towards satisfied smugness as he ties the criminal up, because being humble is clearly for people with no faith in their own abilities.

Miko is drawn toward the sound of a fight like a moth to a flame, so it's no surprise that, having heard of a robbery in the area already, she ends up tracking the source down without too much trouble. She's had a lot of practice at this.

It also helps that she can tell from a pretty good distance who one of the people involved is. By the time she reaches the scene, she's already pocketed her phone - she's just going to go in assuming this isn't newsworthy. "Yo, Eu-" Wait no, wrong name, he'd throw a fit. "You!" She's still not using that ridiculous alias, though.

Then she gets a better look at the situation, and the beginnings of a smirk start to creep onto her face. "I take it you're just now finishing up here?" The choice of emphasis is far from subtle. Just now. As in not sooner than now. As in holy crap considering how long ago that robbery was, shouldn't you have caught this loser long ago.

His smile intensifies when he sees Miko - exactly what he needed! A journalist friend to record his exploits for posterity!- but it's sadly immediately crushed by her derisive comment.

You'd think he'd be used to it by now.

"Just now?" He huffs, his pride wounded for all of five seconds before bouncing back to his usual cheer (or, as one might say, delusion.) "It was an epic chase, a game of cat and mouse on a scope grander than you can imagine! You can't just rush those things!"

He totally meant for that pursuit to drag on and on. Yeah.

"Besides, I'd like to see you do better!"

"Uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure I could actually." If Miko weren't so focused on this petty and unnecessary argument, she might take more notice of the music starting to play from, apparently, nowhere in particular. As it is, she does think briefly that that's kind of odd, but either way it's a bit late.

"Anyone you can catch I can catch faster," she declares. "I can catch anyone faster than you!"

There is something odd in the air. Eusine isn't particularly surprised by the sudden urge to sing, as he is an amazing singer and it'd be a shame to hold it in, really (a fact which, as with all things Eusine-related, requires a big great "citation needed.") But Miko, bursting into song? Now that's weird. At the very least, he'd have pegged her as a more "death metal growl" kind of person.

But no matter. He can roll with anything. What he can't roll with, however, is Miko telling him she'd be better than him at his job. Rude, really.

"No you can't!" he retorts, bringing his face closer to Miko's in defiance.

"Yes I can!" She jabs a finger at his chest, her face in full-on "obnoxious smirk" mode.

"No you can't!" He lightly swats her finger away, but far from him the thought of letting Miko out-obnoxious him. His grin is so shit-eating it could probably make an entire pile of manure spontaneously disappear.

"Yes I can!" Wow if they're not careful the level of smugness going on here might reach critical levels, who knows what would happen then. The captured criminal sure looks concerned, or maybe just confused.

"No you CAN'T!" He crosses his arms. Smugness? Goodness no, he's MERELY acting as befitting of someone who is really good at everything he does. There's no smugness in this!

At least this is strange enough that the criminal might really reconsider his life and choices. No one wants to be subjected to this on a regular basis.

"Yes I can, yes I CAN!" There, she said it twice, that means it is DOUBLE TRUE. This is an argument technique that is totally used by mature adults, all the time.

This argument is going nowhere... But you know what? Two can play at that game.

"Any picture you take, I can take better," comes the bragging. "Any pics I take are greater than yours!"

Only mature adults in here.

Wow, excuse you, Eusine. She's pretty sure she's seen your pictures, which makes that one of the most insulting (and ridiculous) things she's ever heard.

"No, they're not!" she snaps.

Because this is completely different from when she was insisting she could do his job better. Obviously.

"Yes they are!" He even starts reaching for his pockets to take out his fancy high tech phone, fully intent on proving it, before remembering he's in superhero garb and thus doesn't even have his phone with him. He settles on putting his hands on his hips instead. It's totally what he wanted to do. Yes.

"No they're not!" She totally saw that, he totally just started to do something and then realized he couldn't. She's onto you, Eusine.

"Yes they are!!" Maybe if he sings with enough gusto Miko will forget she ever saw that!

"Yes they are, YES THEY ARE!" This is exactly what we're doing now. There's even a snarky edge to his voice, because he clearly didn't already sound like an asshole.

Pleased by the fact he totally shut Miko up with his flawless rebuttal (or more like he doesn't even give her the time to reply) he launches into some more bragging:

"I can find a bigfoot, without making a hoot!"

In retrospect, maybe it had something to do with his magic and maybe (just maybe) this isn't something he should be proud of. But you know.

"No you can't!" His voice is a bit higher but not outrageously so. Honestly, Miko could probably beat that without even trying. Maybe he should have picked something he doesn't naturally has a disadvantage at, what with being a guy and all.
