Sorry dude, my bad. I forgot you don't like touching.
[He relaxes a bit when Sollux changes the subject. Apparently video games are a universal icebreaker.]
Yeah the dual screen is pretty cool, the older ones only had one. The new ones have two screens still, and they're bigger and the top one does 3D stuff. I've asked to get one but they'll only approve stuff like that for the group I guess. Like the xbox in the main room.

[That's the one part he does understand. He's pretty sure he's heard Karkat say the word while they were speaking in Alternia. As a proper noun, it didn't have an exact translation.]
Different videogame? Electronic?
no subject
[He gestured his hands apart to emphasize the screen size.]
If you want to try it out I can show you where it is. It's pretty cool, and we have more games for it than I have for that.
no subject
Yeah, I want look.

[Metabee reached over to grab the DS, checking if it had saved before turning it off and putting it back in the drawer. He was a little annoyed to see Sollux had beat his high score already. Nerd.]
C'mon, dude, let's go check out the xbox. Main room is this way.
[He opened the door and headed into the hallway, waiting a second to see if Sollux was following him before heading off toward to TV room.]
no subject
[He stops at the end of the hall before the TV room and just stands there, hesitantly.]
no subject
Yo, c'mon man, TV's in here.
[He glanced down the hall to se what had spooked Sollux, but didn't see anything.]
Dude, you don't need to worry about someone attacking your or anything, you're good here. Unless it's Wildcat, she might pounce on ya.
no subject
Humans hit me. Out.
no subject
[He went ahead into the room, jumping onto the back of the couch and scrambling over the top of it. He turned back to Sollux, obviously standing on the cushions.]
Are you trying to say 'ouch', or do you actually mean 'out'? Cause out doesn't really make sense on it's own.
no subject
[He repeats the words, more forcefully.]
Not here. Other. What are 'ouch'?
no subject
OK, dude, whatever you say.
[He slid off the couch, and flopped down in front of the entertainment center, sorting through the games piled up next to the console. He kept talking as he looked for his favorite racing game.]
'Ouch' is, like, what you say when you get hurt, I guess to let other people know. Like, if you run into a doorway or trip or Flame Princess hits you with a fire blast or whatever.
no subject
[He points at the games Metabee is filing through.]
Videogames?
no subject
[He wasn't totally paying attention, till he managed to find the disk he was looking for and swapping it out for whatever what in the console at he time. He put the disk back in the case since he had it open already and put it back on the pile.
He grabbed two of the controllers, tossing one so it landed near Sollux on the couch.]
Alright, let's get this started.
[He jumped onto the couch, grabbing the remote and getting the game setup.]

Dude, how is it that you can barely talk, and yet you managed to get through the entire start menu?
no subject
Videogames, dude.
[He picks the car that has the most pleasing arrangement of red and blue and acceptable stats and is done with it. At least from what he can tell of the random ratings on the screen.]
I'm wreck you.
no subject
[Metabee made sure to select his best track before Sollux managed to take over the menu controls again. and leaned forward in his seat as the level loaded up.]
no subject
[He is also smirking quite a bit.]
no subject
What the heck, man? There is NO WAY you can be this good. It has got to be illegal or something.
no subject
More good at you.
[Wow burn. He sticks out his grey tongue though his fangs. Moments later, he blitzes past the finishing line, about three seconds ahead of Metabee.]
[He cheers something in Alternian.]
no subject
[Metabee fell back on the couch, dropping the controller on the seat next to him, almost too baffled to sulk properly]
HOW are you this good?!? That shouldn't be possible, dude! You sure you didn't use your alien mind powers to cheat or something?
[Did Sollux have alien mind powers? Metabee was pretty sure Karkat had mentioned something about alien mind powers.]
no subject
Good for videogames.
no subject
[He grabbed his controller in an irritated snatch and navigated the menu to a more difficult track, hoping he could catch Sollux with some of the gimmicks.]
