[Nilin spends at least 30% of her time training. It's what she knows best. So the gym at CONDOR is her usual haunt and she can usually be found doing some ridiculous cardio workout or readying up for a spar. If you've been there with her before, she's probably offered to spar with you, so today you might be getting ready to do just that.]

[Or you could be rudely interrupting her treadmill workout. Either way fists are going to be flying.]

[Look Nilin doesn't like getting herself into these situations. She just can't help it - when someone gives her attitude, she has to dish it right back. So today she's having some very stern words with a barista who made a rude comment about her or about another customer... does it really matter at this point? A scene is about to be made. [Nilin takes her attention off the rude barista long enough to look at Lyra, fully intending to tell her to be patient but she stops herself because there is clearly a line that she is holding up. Still, this is a thing and she is not about to admit that she is over-reacting to it.]

Yes, but I think I've made my point.

[She gives the barista a warning glare.]

I'm sorry for your troubles. Do you come here a lot? I was wondering if the iced tea latte is any good? I never had iced tea before but it never got so hot where I came from. Latte means it comes with milk in, right?

[Well this is distracting. It's hard to be mad when someone is trying to distract you with a million questions. Although, it's also hard to be mad when the barista you've been lecturing has scurried away when you weren't looking. Nilin sighs, a bit defeated. She definitely sounds annoyed when she speaks, and she avoids looking at Lyra because it's not fair to unleash the full force of her frustration on this girl.]

I really only drink black coffee. Sorry.

[lyra shrugs.]

Oh. Well, coffee's good too. I like milk and sugar though. What's your name?

[She grabs her coffee off the counter and steps out of the way, finding her way to a table so she can sit and drink her coffee and cool down a bit.]
