[lyra is sitting cross-legged a little ways away from the bookstore, where it's fairly clean, in a breezy maxi-dress and a lot of scarves. propped up in front of her is a sign reading "LADY SILVERTONGUE: FORTUNES TOLD, ask me anything: tarot, angel cards, i ching, runes, 100% true, promise! $15 a reading," which has been decorated with glitter glue. pantalaimon sits curled in her lap. she has on oversized sunglasses behind which she can watch the various masses of people as they move about the boardwalk with unabashed interest, smiling and waving at anyone whose eye she manages to catch.]
