Where: The Conquest, maybe Cybertron
When: A few weeks ago; Today.
What: Pt 1. The Space bridge comes online for the first time, giving the Decepticons limited transport to Cybertron; Pt II. After a few weeks of repairs, the Conquest's flight systems are brought online.
Warnings: Dubious ROBOT SCIENCE.

Space Bridge Activation

Ordinarily, a feat such as this would merit voracious celebration. At long last, after being trapped on this planet for several months, Shockwave would soon have access to the rich quantity of scientific tools and incomplete experiments he'd left beneath Cybertron's surface.

More importantly, they could begin to siphon supplies from the dead home world to the Conquest, to properly fill the starship with the armaments and repairs it needed.

But Shockwave was never one to waste time on illogical, emotional endeavors such as enjoyment. He merely saw it as hurdle in his ultimate goal. So with a firm purpose, the Decepticon takes a few steps back from the completed portal - its accompanying machinery occupying most of the room - and presses at hand to the comm link.

The Conquest's command center should get a simple vocal message from the scientist: "The Space Bridge is complete. The first test run to Cybertron should begin shortly."

"Excellent," comes the prompt response. Megatron doesn't sound like he's about to celebrate over this either, though; he's been in a bad mood for a while and as far as he's concerned the space bridge had better be working. It's not that he doesn't mean it – this is excellent news – but all the same he sounds impatient, a little weary. Test runs are well and good, but what he wants is supplies. "See that it is ready for use as quickly as possible."

Flight! Sep. 29

While he was certain that Megatron would prefer the Synthetic energon be worked on, patching up the Conquest's flight systems was a much simpler task and would find itself completed first. Especially with the extra Vehicon help now on the ship to act as hard labor for them. With the Bridge and the ship' status now out of the way, he could devote his full attention to the formula Knockout had procured.

But for now, he'd have to make sure the ship could get off the ground. Poised at a control module in the Conquests Bridge, he monitors the new systems splayed over one screen.

"Soundwave, the energon pumps have been tested. The engines should now be functional for flight," he drones in his familiar monotone.

Soundwave moves to stand next to Shockwave at the control module. Finally, the ship would be fully functional and the Decepticons can reach their full potential. He gives Shockwave a nod before checking the systems over and entering the command. There is no reason that this shouldn't work. Shockwave's calculations and tests are exact. A soft hum fills the room as the engines begin powering up.

Soundwave feels a swell of camaraderie as he stands silently next to the scientist listening to the purr of the engines. Without Shockwave they would probably still be in the early stages of repair.

"Soundwave: preparing to initiate thrusters." excitement curls in his systems as he keys in the order. He looks over at Shockwave as the ship roars to life.
