Part of your World
Who: Rodimus and the Decepticons
Where: Outside thecongest Conquest
When: Not long after the robot fight (12 hoursish) Nighttime
What: Rodimus enacts step 1 of his 1 part plan
Warnings: Robots? Bad lying.
Rodimus is outside the Decepticon warship. Well....HALF of the Decepticon warship. He's not really sure what happened there, but makes a mental note to have a good chuckle about it later when he's NOT about to put himself in a situation that's either going to go, well, the way he hopes it will or...the way he hopes it doesn't.
Still, broken in half, functional or not, it's hard not to admit that the Decepticon dreadnought is pretty intimidating. He's not even sure how many cons are in there...although he suspects not many, considering Megatron made a personal appearance to obtain the forge. He shakes his head, thinking about the Autobots own paltry list of resources. Even if it wasn't functional now, this massive ship could be someday, and who knows how much energon and weaponry they had stored inside. The Autobots could barely scrape together enough energon to treat themselves after battle...they weren't ready for a long-term siege scenario.
Rodimus feels a sudden pang of guilt thinking about the Autobots. About leaving...no, let's be fair, abandoning the other bots back in downtown L.A. True, he never really saw them except from a distance, and didn't actually have any idea of the outcome of the battle when he decided to follow the 'cons trail back to their base, but Drift filled him in afterward and it...wasn't good. He now knows that Megatron had gotten the forge, and that the Autobots had come out the other side pretty roughed up. It didn't help that they all still had injuries from their last fight that hadn't been properly repaired. And to hear that Arcee had taken onMegatron, one on one (Rodimus thought that was pretty badass and vowed to tell Arcee next time he saw her). Drift told him the details as best he could; had said she was stable but out of commission, and until they got a medic - Rodimus grit his teeth angrily. There wasn't anything he could have done. Not in the fight, not afterwards. And maybe that's what made it worse. Right now he felt so...so useless.
He looks up at the warship, it's outline menacing against the dark sky. He vents heavily, and sets his commlink to bounce an unencrypted message at the ship. No point in waiting. If they're monitoring the radiowaves at all, they'll get it. It's a simple message, he doesn't say who he is, just where and that he wants to join the Decepticons. It'll get their attention...of that, he's sure.
What he's not sure of, is how they'll react.

He picks up a cube of the green stuff and looks closely at it. Looks normal, really, other than the obvious colour difference. They sure have a lot of it though.
Maybe it's poison.

"Do you mean to tell me that the Autobots haven't had to harvest any energon since arriving on Earth?"
no subject
He's still looking at the energon cube in his hand, seriously contemplating drinking it.
no subject
"Of course they do," he mutters sounding unimpressed. "Leave it to the Autobots to dig their heels in for the long haul and not know when they're beaten." He also dares you to challenge him on that, Rodimus.
no subject
Instead he moves closer to Starscream, leaning towards him to get a not-very-subtle look at the data-pad he's holding.
"So uh,what're you...what're you doing there?" he asks with feigned interest. Maybe not 'feigned'. He's actually pretty interested, but for different reasons than he wants Starscream to believe.
no subject
"Nothing that concerns you!" he snaps, putting the datapad aside. "Are you out of cubes to stack!? Should I take that to mean you are prepared to take on the next task of the day...?"
Whatever the next task is, he seems kind of amused by the idea of it, which if Rodimus, if he has a lick of sense, should probably find concerning.

"'Course I've finished!" Rodimus says, proudly, as if he's actually accomplished something of value here. Unfortunately what he did not accomplish was actually getting any information out of Starscream. "What've you got next for me, Bo-Commander?" There's that pesky sarcasm again.
no subject
"Such eagerness. So charming," he says dryly. "Follow me..."
He strides off to another shuttered off section of the cargo bay, punching in some access codes. When the door shifts open, the lights illuminate the two horrifying crystal creatures that Starscream recovered months ago. Only they've grown. To Arcee size, at least. And they seem really angry that people have just entered the room.
no subject
"Okay, what the frag, are those?" Rodimus demands, his shock plain.
no subject
He strides over to the cage containing the one that resembles an extremely ill tempered, tall, six legged crocodile. "Steadily growing to the point where, as you can see, I keep having to increase the size of their enclosures. They need to be moved again, to the hold down the hall from here. Have fun."
no subject
"So uh, why're you keeping them around then, exactly?" He asks while giving one of the bizarre crystalline creatures a look over. They looked displeased as all get out. Or at least, he thinks they do? He thinks back on another recent encounter he's had on the Decepticon ship. "You guys seem to've really gotten to looking for recruits in strange places..."
