ROCK'EM SOCK'EM ROBOTS [BIG OPEN FIGHT LOG]

Who: Signless, Robots, and YOU
Where: City Hall, and all over downtown LA.
When: April 14th
What: Signless bates the Cybetronians into having a big fight in downtown LA while attempting to get a valuable artifact. Earth civilians and superheroes are SUPER WELCOME to notice the fuss and try to stop the fighting/safe people from collateral damage.
Warnings: SUDDENLY ROBOT ULTRAVIOLENCE

Signless leaves himself, and the hammer, visible at first. He wants them to see him, to know that the battle is imminent - and with any luck, a conflict will start. He'll do his best to disappear and keep them hunting for him as as long as possible after he's initially been spotted. Maximum collateral damage is his goal.

It also helps that he's an empath. He'll be taking whatever opportunities he can to agitate people's emotions, whether it be anger, panic, or fear, in the attempt to make ever more chaos.

This is a party style log, meaning you can make you own threads and scenarios. Signless will be around with the hammer. LET'S MAKE THIS AS BIG OF A CLUSTERFUCK AS POSSIBLE, GUYS.

"I did not recognize the Alternian, but the artifact was a device called the Forge of Solus Prime. Legend states that in the hand of a Prime it is capable of creating anything if used with raw materials."

And knowing who the only recent Prime was, everyone's eagerness makes him nervous.

Well that would explain why the Cybertronians were fighting so hard for it. Di could feel a headache coming on and she rubbed her temples. If it could only be used by a Prime then it was pretty useless to any troll. How had they gotten ahold of it in the first place? It must be huge. They either had to have some sort of ship or psionics to be able to move it around.

Again she felt uneasy.

"Did the Alternian say why they are doing this?"

He would be frowning so hard if he wasn't a truck right now. His engine rumbles slightly with worry.

"They seemed to find the idea of us fighting over it...amusing. Ostensibly based on their contempt for the current state of our civilization."

It might not be him, but even if it wasn't Di felt like she ought to do something about this mysterious troll. Given the maneuverability the Cybertronians had they probably would have a bit of a difficult time getting to them, especially if they were a psionic.

"I'll try to help. See if maybe I can get to whoever this is," she sighed and gave shake of her head, "what more can you tell me about them?"

Orion only saw a flash of the psionic before Starscream and Arcee had revealed themselves and given them the chance to give everyone the slip. The image was striking enough that at least one descriptor occurs to him.

"Their psionic markings were a distinct red light," he says, carefully. "They were moving quickly - they seem to be trying to hide from us."
scribes: (and the endless red tape)

So they were a psionic as she had suspected. It made sense. Given the circumstances it was the only way a troll might have lugged a doubtlessly large artifact around while drawing the least attention possible.

That they were red only increased the chances it was Signless, not solidified it. Given that Orion could not recognize the gender it was unlikely that he would be able to answer the following, but she asked anyway: "Did you happen to see if they wore a sign? Or what their horns looked like?"

I was more accurate to say that Orion didn't spend much time thinking about gender, and so without clear marks of social presentation as one in particular, he finds himself wary of making assumptions. It was true, though - from this distance it would be hard even if there was a clear answer.

"I did not see a sign, though their clothes were accented with red as well." He knows that she said trolls tended to wear the same colors as their blood. In terms of horns, it was most accurate to say that he hadn't seen much at all. "Compact - perhaps not unlike yours."

There was a rather long pause before Di finally managed an "I see."

They wore red, they bore no sign, were psionic, and they had small horns similar to her own. Alone these might not have meant much individually, especially here on Earth, but altogether it seemed she had her answer.

On one hand she was so relieved that he was alive that she could almost cry, on the other hand it seemed that her belief he was making progress was wrong.

"I need to find him, Orion. Will you alright?"
thanksoptimus: (how could this happen to me)

[personal profile] thanksoptimus 2014-06-19 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
It's obvious that something is up here, to the point that he can't focus on answering her question. Instead his tires roll forward a few steps, his mirrors adjusting to focus.

"Magdal...why? Do you recognize this troll?"
scribes: (Is it any wonder that I feel afraid?)

[personal profile] scribes 2014-06-19 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
She doesn't turn away, but her eyes have shifted off to the side so she's no longer looking at him. Had it been anyone else she would have lied about who Signless was. Instead she just gives a small nod.

"I do. It's the friend I mentioned before. The one who changed."

[personal profile] thanksoptimus 2014-06-19 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh...

Oh.

They have even more in common than he'd thought, he considers. His own baggage is going to be arriving any moment now. The idea of Megatron fighting with Magdal's old friend is baffling and painful. He winces, in that his window wipers shutter strangely.

"Oh no," he says quietly after a few moments, still a little stunned. "...Please be careful, Magdal. The Decepticons will not hesitate."

Her eyes shift back to him and she gives him a tired smile, nodding.

"I will be. You too, okay?"

"Of course..." he says, though his tone is uncertain. Not because he doesn't plan on being careful, but because he isn't sure if there is a careful way of doing what she's planning doing. Something interrupts his train of thought however, and he can't help but ask.

"Do you know of his motives?" he asks. "What cause does he fight for?"

"He's working for the Empress. I don't know what exactly he---she hopes to gain by doing this. It could very well be just to cause chaos. Or perhaps this could be some sort of ruse to distract from something else. I really don't know."

"Either sounds to be a likely theory," he says carefully, after a moment. He knows how she feels about the Empire, and knowing that her old friend is working directly with them for whatever reason...well, he can understand.

He's been feeling kind of that way himself recently.

What a fine mess this was. Considering that Signless had withheld from any violent actions against her, she had thought that he had been able to overcome the Condesce's hold on him enough to prevent any sort of violence period. Yet look at what was happening around them. How many must be injured already, possibly dead?

"We'll get to the bottom of it."
