[jon has finally reached his spring break, which he is choosing to spend in LA with the trailblazers--though he misses his family dearly, his crimefighting career comes first. he'd been planning on taking them all to disneyland at some point during the two weeks he has off, if only to see how karkat and katniss reacted, and he figures after the drama of the previous week the younger trailblazers could do with a getaway sooner rather than later. he manages to score fairly decent parking and leads the group out of the parking lot and through the gates of disneyland.]

Yeah, and it sounds awesome!

[Metabee came running up from behind the group, trying not to trip over his new tail. He had managed to convince one of the other medabots he needed to swap bodies for an important Trailblazer exercise, since he was certainly not going to risk getting arrested just cause the security here wouldn't allow ANY firearms.]

Does anyone have a map, what else is over there?

[he raises his eyebrows back at katniss and hands metabee the map.]

Some Pixar stuff, I don't remember. We could go there first and work our way back to Adventureland.

[ Rikki has come prepared, with a backpack full of snacks and water bottles to share - Cap used to be really into team bonding-type excursions, and maybe some of it rubbed off on her. It's nice to have something simple and non-life-threatening to do together, even if it does feel a little silly at their age. Like that's going to stop her from enjoying herself.

She has noticed, however, that not everyone is quite as into it as she is. She sidles up to Katniss, dropping her voice a little. ]

Why do you keep making that face?

[She glances at Rikki, and decides to just go with it. The words have a sarcastic edge.]

I've been on the tomorrow land ride. It's not all it's cracked up to be.

[The joke is that she's a time traveller.]

[So far, Cynthia is enjoying this lovely day at Disneyland. She's never been here before, so her excitement to do things is monumental. She wants to get on all of the rides, and get character autographs, and buy what is surely delicious Disneyland food, and ohhh my god there are so many things she wants to do.

She's been preoccupied for a little bit with a granola bar she took from Rikki's backpack, but it's soon completely eaten. Without wondering whether it's alright to, Cynthia lets out a laugh at Katniss' comment.]

I wish you made jokes more often, Katniss – yours are always really good! ["Always," as if this happens frequently.]

[ Rikki makes a bit of a face herself, not sure if she's supposed to laugh at that or offer some kind of sympathy. ]

Well, I'm pretty sure this version only involves happy robots and space rides and no people killing each other...

[Katniss' comment gets a laugh out of Nessa, and she tugs on Karkat's sleeve when she sees a cart selling massive turkey legs, her eyes practically lighting up.]

C'mon Karkat, don't be such a sourpuss. Disneyland is fun!

[she's super distracted by those legs tho, damn.]

[jon follows her gaze to the turkey legs and slips her s ten dollar bill.]

We'll go to Space Mountain first if no one has any better ideas. Katniss can pick the next ride.

A roller coaster in the dark?

[Severa returns to the group after having unceremoniously left it for one reason or another. she absolutely doesn't look like she's been having fun, but when does she ever?]

I'll sit out. Maybe Karkat and I will bond in the meantime.
