It wasn't something he was about to openly admit, but Arcee's words mean a lot to Rodimus. He'd spent more time than not arguing with, butting heads with, and getting lectured by (perhaps justifiably so) his superior officers in recent years...it's nice to have some mutual respect with his commander. Arcee's a good soldier, probably a GREAT soldier and her confidence in him makes him feel...better. Their situation isn't good but it's the little moments that might get them through this.
His next question comes hesitantly...he's got no idea what Arcee's going to say, but it's importance is pressing on his mind, and he figures there's no better time than the present.
