When: The same day that Megatron shows up.
What: A semi truck asks you for help.

There's no precedent for this, really. No explanation that brings this sudden transition any closer to making sense. He's never been anywhere that isn't Cybertron before, and organic based planets like this are something he's only read about in the archives.

Thankfully, he figures, he can at least peace something together in terms of appropriate interspecies diplomacy. Because while he's managed to scan an appropriately sized alt form, his last one wasn't the shape he was expecting at all. With this much going wrong, he's going to need help.


It's late afternoon when you'll have a chance at noticing the large red and blue semi truck that seems to be following you around town. It is, inherently, not very subtle. It drives slowly, pursuing you with an almost shy looking trepidation, rolling forward and then hesitating the moment you look at it.

It's sticking to less populated areas for now.

"Not at this stage in our life cycle, we should not," he says. He's just as confused as you, Metabee.

"We can be physically modified by ourselves or others but subtle modifications such as height cannot just pass without notice."

Hmm.

"Huh, well, hopefully you can figure that out when you get your memory back dude." He had a thousand questions for this guy but he could tell Orion was itching to leave. Metabee didn't really want to annoy him that much, he was way too cool.

"Well, if you wind up staying longer and need a guide to Earth stuff you should call me up, man. Happy to help!"

He contemplates that for a moment. Well, why not, really. He's curious about this little robot's origins, even if he is a touch too desperate to look into it right now.

"I have gained access to local communication networks, so if you have a corresponding number, I will keep you as a potential contact."

[metabee]

"Sure thing dude, hit me up if you need anything."
He gave Orion the number linked to his internal communication line, probably more enthusiastically than he should considering he just met this guy.

"You gonna head out to the desert now?"

Orion likes you, tiny robot. He files the number away for the moment, gazing at the horizon.

"It is, at present, my only lead. I thank you for your assistance."

He smiles, and abruptly folds into a truck, his engine rumbling.

"Alright, well, good luck, dude. See you around." Metabee gave a wave as Orion transformed (still super cool wow). and waiting to till the truck drove off before heading back the way he came, looking very pleased with himself.
