+1 confused alien nerd

Who: Orion Pax and YOU.
Where: Around Los Angeles.
When: The same day that Megatron shows up.
What: A semi truck asks you for help.
Warnings: ???

There's no precedent for this, really. No explanation that brings this sudden transition any closer to making sense. He's never been anywhere that isn't Cybertron before, and organic based planets like this are something he's only read about in the archives.

Thankfully, he figures, he can at least peace something together in terms of appropriate interspecies diplomacy. Because while he's managed to scan an appropriately sized alt form, his last one wasn't the shape he was expecting at all. With this much going wrong, he's going to need help.

It's late afternoon when you'll have a chance at noticing the large red and blue semi truck that seems to be following you around town. It is, inherently, not very subtle. It drives slowly, pursuing you with an almost shy looking trepidation, rolling forward and then hesitating the moment you look at it.

It's sticking to less populated areas for now.

"I see." There isn't much that she, personally, can do for him. She doesn't know where Cybertron is, and, even if she did, humanity hasn't developed the type of spacecraft necessary to get him there. If he crash-landed here and lost a portion of his memory in the process, there would likely be a ship of some sort somewhere, but he would have had to see it upon waking. If he didn't know how he got here, there must not have been a ship. That means she can only give him information.

"I have encountered one other Cybertronian, recently," Miriel says, with a bit of hesitation. Orion Pax, as little time as she has known him, seems...honest. Trusting. As far as she could tell when she met him, Starscream is the opposite, as well as unpredictable and possibly dangerous. "His name is Commander Starscream, and his vehicle form is that of a military jet. I know not if he remains in this area – or on Earth - but you may learn more about possible methods of returning to your planet if you are able to locate him."

"Disorientation is a common reaction to amnesia," she says, "and while it is inconvenient, it is not worrying. Injury is a possible cause for your amnesia, depending on what occurred during and prior to your arrival." The different scenarios which could result in memory loss are too numerous to count, so she doesn't even try to theorize. "I am not aware, however, of which transition you mean."

"Fascinating," she says to herself. It looks like she assumed too early. "Perhaps, then, it may also be beneficial to search for any traces of the rest of the spacecraft in the area where you found yourself, and then beyond. I am not familiar with your interstellar travel technology, but I would hypothesize that if a part of the vessel crashed into this planet – provided that the part was of a certain size – the rest of the ship would crash as well." She pauses. "Of course, it would depend on what exactly occurred on the vessel or around the vessel so that part of it was lost." And, of course, that information is not available to them.

"I cannot say, but I do hope that you will be able to discover the circumstances surrounding your arrival on this planet, Orion Pax, as well as any methods of returning to your own planet."

Thinking, she silently looks out the window for a few moments. She does not expect that this Cybertronian will be able to give her any information of value right now, but...perhaps later. "If you do encounter the rest of the vessel, I would appreciate it if you contacted me. I am no engineer, but I am highly interested in your culture's technological advancements."

"Excellent," Miriel says, sounding just the tiniest bit pleased. "I will give you my telephone number." Slowly, she lists off the numbers, and then once again, this time more quickly and for confirmation. "I am unsure if my telephone will function with your interior broadcast system; do you know if there is an available process to ensure that the two systems are compatible?"

"Thank you," Miriel says, and silences the simple beeping ringtone of her phone. There's no point in using it to talk right now, considering their proximity, but she's glad to know that the connection works. "I will contact you if, by chance, I learn any information that may assist you in your objective."
