Who: Baelheit, Miriel, and Starscream
Where: The same privately-owned hangar Baelheit and Starscream have been using for their meetings
When: Backdated to February 15th
What: Baelheit and Miriel go in...to fix Starscream's t-cog.
Warnings: SCIENCE. Weird body horror shit maybe? Mandatory Starscream warning.

Baelheit was pleased when Miriel agreed to assist with Starscream's operation. If he were in the habit of expressing elation, that might have come close to it. The truth is that among all of his colleagues at Mintaka Industries -- most of them carefully chosen to best represent his scientific and somewhat more personal interests -- there are few he trusts more than Miriel. His trust in her isn't necessarily born out of any personal connection, but out of a sense of professionalism and respect. He believes her professional interests align closely enough with his, and that he holds enough of her respect in return, that she can be trusted with somewhat more delicate matters.

They have come even more fully equipped than Baelheit did the last time. Both scientists are clad in protective suits with masks over their mouths, in the case of any leaking contaminants, as well as flashlights to light Starscream's interior pathways. Baelheit has his recording equipment, both of them well-equipped with the tools to collect any additional samples they may require. He's taken the liberty of outfitting the both of them with Mintaka Industries' own personal forcefield generators; merely a safety precaution, if Starscream should decide on a particularly ungrateful course of action once his transformation cog has been brought back online.

And then, of course, there is the substantially heavier-duty equipment. All of it small, compact, almost elegant in its design -- the trademark design aesthetic of Mintaka Industries -- but powerful and necessary nonetheless. They have an assortment of powered tools at their disposal, for whatever need might arise, but most prominent of all is the little work drone they've brought along. It will likely be responsible for the majority of the heavy lifting aspect of the procedure; but Miriel and Baelheit will be the ones operating it, both well-versed in the technology.

Sedation isn't necessary for a procedure like this, and at any rate, seems inadvisable to Baelheit. As much as Starscream's chatter might grate on his patience, he'd prefer that the Cybertronian remain conscious for the operation. Instead, Starscream is laid out on the hangar deck, all sixty feet of sleek military fighter jet, a ladder propped up underneath him. Baelheit neatly dons a set of safety glasses, glancing at Miriel and handing her the control device for the work drone.

"Commander Starscream, I'd like to introduce you to my colleague, Dr. Miriel Frost. She's a brilliant scientist and one of my most trustworthy associates. You are in good hands today, Commander."
