It takes a moment for that to sink in, partly because Peony isn't sure at first that she didn't mishear. Honestly, she's not even sure how a library turning into a human would work, but she sees no reason to assume that what Sable says isn't true - and every reason to assume it is, because she definitely wants to believe that a library could turn into a human, because it's like a fairy tale in the best possible way.
"REALLY?!" she squeals, then, picking up on Sable's softer volume, quiets down. "Oops, sorry! But- oh my gosh that's so amazing!"
"That really would be hard to get used to, though," she adds. "But I bet you can do it! I mean- I couldn't even tell you didn't used to be a human until you told me, so that's gotta be a good sign!" She smiles encouragingly; who even knows what sort of cues might have tipped her off, but whatever, they didn't.
