Rodimus doesn't know who or exactly what he's looking at when he sees the mysterious figure peace out, but he does recognise the Forge. And in that brief moment while Arcee is distracted, it looks like no one's going after it. Rodimus has already decided that it's probably for the best to avoid getting into any serious fights today, both for his own sake and the numerous civilians and locals scattered around the area. But that doesn't mean he can't do anything, and making sure this joker doesn't slip away with the hammer, seems like a good starting point.

He transforms back into his alt-mode as soon as he gets into a clear patch, engine revving as he heads after the mysterious Alternian, blowing past Humans and Cybertronians alike. It's difficult to get to top speed with all the humans around (and their streets aren't actually particularly conductive to going fast either) but he does his best to at least keep his target in sight.
