Claire pulls one knee up to her chest, tapping her fingers against the toe of her shoe. She tilts her head a little, focusing on Wanda's hands on her book.

"I don't understand people a lot of times. I don't know what they expect from me unless they tell me, and sometimes people say things they don't actually mean and I don't always know how to tell the difference. I don't understand why they do things like ask how you're doing if they don't actually want to hear the answer." She shrugs one shoulder. "My mom always said my way made more sense, but most people don't work like me."
