Whether the Decpticons were in the right and it was corrupted, or whether it wasn't and a powerful source of knowledge it was hard to see why Megatron wouldn't destroy it. Perhaps she was interpreting things incorrectly but from the sounds of it someone could only hold the Matrix if they were chosen, so in the latter case it would be useless to Megatron.
