Magnus doesn't bother answering, transforming directly into a run and charging down on Optimus. He didn't want to hurt their leader more than anyone, but he also wasn't going to compromise the mission out of sentimentality.

He cycles out his blasters, shooting a few blasts at Optimus' arms and shoulders while Arcee aimed for his legs. Hopefully between the two of them that would distract him enough for Rodimus to get out of the way.
