Orion's immediate assumption is that Starscream is being dramatic - that Megatron will have some issue with his behavior, and that while a reasonable reprimand would occur, it wouldn't actually be anything close to actual murder. The thought that it might be more doesn't really cross his mind.

All the same, how upset Starscream seems about it lends his fears their own credence.
