Savoring the taste of the chocolate frozen yogurt she's spooning into her mouth, Cynthia strolls down the busy sidewalk. She just left the frozen yogurt shop, so her paper bowl is filled with the sugary stuff. She is quite ready to enjoy the entire bowl.
Several steps later, she hears her text alert sound – a horse's neighing. She stops for a moment on the side of the sidewalk; she won't really disrupt anyone here. She pulls out her phone, texts a response with the hand not holding her frozen yogurt, and pockets her phone. Just as she looks up and begins to walk again, someone runs right into her.
Cynthia yelps and stumbles backwards, but she doesn't fall. Her frozen yogurt is not as lucky; it goes flying into the street and is then run over by a passing car. There goes her snack.
"Oh...Don't worry about it," she says, a little sullenly. That frozen yogurt was so good. Feeling kind of responsible for stopping when she shouldn't have, she joins Miko in a crouch and hands her a couple of items that landed farther away. "I guess I'm just glad I didn't get frozen yogurt on you. I spilled coffee all over someone's shirt the other day; it was awful!"
