"Hah!" He slaps his hand on the table, exulting. "I knew it!"
It's pretty obvious he's trying to keep his voice low... but it's not exactly working. As it is, he's just excitedly loud instead of deafening.
"What a small world!" He leans back into his seat, beaming. "It's good to meet you in the flesh, my dear rival."
